The Young Science Achievers Program offers grants of up to $500 per project for projects with TWO or more students in the project.
A project submitted by one student is limited to a total funding of $250.

We do this to encourage students to work together in groups of two or more on projects. YSAP serves public and private high schools (grades 9 through 12) throughout the state of New Jersey and New York City and is open to all applicants but targets young women of any ethnicity and males of African American, Hispanic, or Native American descent.

A goal of this program is to increase the number of participants from underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering and math fields.

Additional support in the form of mentorship from professionals from world-class research institutions and leadership from dedicated high school science teachers is provided. Together the students, mentors and teachers spend the winter and spring semesters designing and conducting experiments from a wide variety of science and engineering fields.

The winning project will get a $1000 cash prize.
The winner will receive a paid summer internship at Princeton University or at The City College of NY
Every project selected will have a budget of $500 for materials and supplies
Students will get the opportunity to meet real scientists and learn about their careers.
Future job applications will stand out having this program as part of your curriculum and college admissions application.
